GENETICS! My ever feared subject. I will be having my midterm examination tomorrow and I cannot risk on this one after failing my first exam. I need to understand the Central Dogma of Molecular Biology (Replication, Transcription, and Translation).
I don’t think I can make it this time but I hope I can. I’m really doing my best to diminish the possibility of me failing another examination. I just can’t fail or else, I have to retake this subject again. Poor me.
I cannot allow this to happen that’s why I’m studying hard. But, if all else fail, There’s still next semester.

Remember the time when I told you about a computer crashing due to some “disease”? Whenever this happens, Some of our files and other important things saved on our computer are wiped out clean, and we end up with nothing but to start all over again. But, it is possible now to recover these files.

I just took my midterm exam for statistics 1! And it is a total disaster! I was not able to study well and I have no way of knowing how to answer some of the questions. I’m not even sure with my answers. I just hope luck is on my side.

I’m not talking about diseases like humans get but diseases your computer can have. Yes, and these “diseases” can make your computers go slow. They are mainly caused by viruses, worms, invaders, and a lot more. I really don’t have much knowledge about these stuff but I know it is better to safeguard your computer as early as now. Some viruses are very annoying and can even crash your computer in seconds depending on the kind of virus that has infected you computer’s system.
My friend just had to reformat his computer after being severely infected by an invader. He lost much of his files. He said he got the file from the internet. He experienced lagging until it totally crashed. So he needed to reformat his beloved computer.
Don’t wait for your system to be like his. Safeguard your computers with an anti-virus program and be secured.

I’m just going to share some techniques in studying effectively. I learned about this when i attended a seminar about studying effectively.
1. Selecting a place to study.
When choosing a place to study, select the place where you are most comfortable of. Make sure you have proper lighting. Make sure when you study, you always go to that particular place and study there. This makes your brain retain the information better. Also make sure that you are not facing a bed or even lying in bed. This can be tempting to you and sleep than study.
2. Time to study.
It is advised to study early in the morning after getting some good night sleep. And it is better to study at a regular time. Meaning, you set an exact time of the day wherein you can call as your study time. This can also improve your ability to retain the information. It is best to study at 2hours maximum and then rest before studying again. This will help your brain relax not tire you down.
3. Eating chocolates
Studies show that sugar rush improves brain activity. You can use this effect while studying. So, eat chocolates while studying. Just remember that you are studying and not eating.
4. Never cram
They suggested that cramming is not really that effective. It sometimes cause mental blocks leaving you with nothing to answer on your test papers.
These are simple study tips right? Nothing will be lost if you try them. So,happy studying to you all!

I got tired today because of our practice volleyball game. We spent an hour or two hitting the ball and making our hands turn red. It even hurts because the ball was so hard. I got exhausted eventually. But during the practice, I had so much fun and I even get to exercise my muscles due to constant running and chasing the ball whenever I miss hitting it.
While we were busy playing volleyball, my other friends were also busy shooting hoops with basketballs. Yes, it was indeed a day of sports. Everyone was happy and tired. But nevertheless, we had so much fun because our friends were there to share with.
After playing and tiring ourselves down, we separated ways as some of my friends were to watch a pre-pageant while my housemate is going to get her data from her friend and research assistant for her thesis. I had no other choice but to go with her. After getting the data, we headed home.

As a student, I don’t get much sleep especially during examination week and when deadlines are fast approaching for required reports. I spend most of time with books, handouts and reference books doing nothing but reading and trying to comprehend everything. I sleep late in the evening or sometimes past midnight and I need to wake up very early in the morning to attend classes. I don’t even have enough time to be myself and worse, sleep.
Sleeping is very important because it helps you regenerate and rest so that you will have energy to use for the following day. It helps you relax and somehow rebuild yourself. It is when your body does most of its repair. However, lack of sleep might lead to problems and complications to ones health. That’s why, I always try my best to have at least eight hours of sleep but I just can’t. Somehow my body does not require me that much of sleep.
Then I realized, this is just for the mean time and as a student, I need to sacrifice for a better future for me.
