Although I have been already in the university for three days now, I have not yet registered myself due to my lack of units. When I arrived, I was in Cyber Monday mode to access my university account online and tried to add more subjects to make my load full so that hopefully, I would be able to graduate on time. It is not only I who tried to access their accounts online but also my other colleagues. This caused so much traffic causing many lag times but luckily, everything went well.

What would people do if computers were not around during this time? With people always almost dependent on computers, many people would be very inefficient without computers and the world will never be the same. I remember the days when entertainment was at its best from the television screens. When I was a child, we did not have much time to go out and play. Instead, we stayed at home sitting in front of the television and watching the regular shows that the network stations air everyday. Now, fewer children go out in the streets to play, many of the children today stay indoors and playing computer games or watching programs from their television sets. Many today can afford an LCD TV which makes viewing more and more entertaining and exciting. I guess maybe people are just getting more and more attracted to the digital world. I miss the child laughs I hear whenever I pass by the road to school. The happy faces of the children running around seem to have become rare these days.

After my laptop has been infected with virus, worms, spywares, trojans and the like that severely slowed down my laptop since my antivirus expired, I am finally back online. It took me a long time to remove the virus and when there were no hopes left, I copied my personal files and decided to reformat my laptop. It was hard, tiring and very stressful waiting for the programs to load and downloading softwares I had before my laptop’s disease infiltrated my system. Oh well, I am glad that I’m back and everything is fine although there are few updates that windows needs to install. Nevertheless my system works fine and my antivirus works perfectly well. This is the nth time that I reformatted my system and I learned from it so I’m backing up everything (I should have done this way back before, but I guess I’m just too connfident about my system) and saved multiple copies of it. So in the event that this happens again (I sincerely hope not), I am ready and lesser time for me to install things. Well I guess this is just how one should be very particular in [rotecting their system from the harmful environment specially in the world of computers.

I just had my internet connection back after eleven days of no internet connection. I had an overdue bill for three months and so my ISP decided to cut down my internet connection that is why I don’t get to blog that much anymore and have to settle with visiting cafe just to have connect to the cyber world. This is so uncomfortable for me because I really find it easier to write something when I am at the comfort of my own room, and I don’t have to deal with people passing by.

Nevertheless I am very much happy since I get to blog regularly once again even before sleep, have my friendster account uo to date, chat with my friends through YM, e-mail my parents and of course do my research work without too much hassle since I am only at home and do not have to worry with late hours doing internet stuff.

I wish there would be a free wi-fi service here near our place so that I don’t have to cut down on my expenses to pay my internet bills. But as they say, there is no such thing as “free”, we usually get this from our parents. I just wish I don’t get disconnected again.
