It’s Christmas season and during this holiday period, people flock the malls to buy presents in celebration of the Christmas spirit. Also, people take advantage of the holiday sale that’s going on all department stores and malls. This afternoon, I took a stroll at the mall only to find out how crowded it already was. There were lots of stuff and even those promotional tote bags got a space in the corner. People really are rushing to buy stuff and I expect a more congested scene tomorrow considering that it will be the Christmas eve soon.

Unmanageable ExpensesPosted by Vince in Credit cards, Financial Management, Shopping, tags: Credit cards, Shopping
I just received my credit card statement and I was shocked at what I saw. I have a very large credit at hand so I started to recall every charges I had using the card and so I realized I used it to pay my monthly bills. Because of a high principal amount, the interest was painful in the pocket but I had no choice. I will be paying it in full tomorrow in full and next time I think I should be more careful when using the card. I might not be able to use it again if it reaches its limit so better slow down on swiping and shopping this time. I need to learn how to manage my expenses a little bit.
I heard recently from the news that a lot of cheap cellular phones have been going around the market. This is because a lot of smuggled cellular phones are entering the market. These phones are cheap since they do not pass quality check and no tax upon entry in the country. Cellular phones of these kind often cause health problems as what the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) claimed during the raid they did this past few days. But are these cellular phones cheaper? Well maybe at first they are but due to its low quality and lack in security inspection, repairs are usually done many times so you end up paying more due to these repair costs you incur. So, they are not that cheap after all. I suggest you go to certified cellular phone dealers and always look for the NTC stickers on the phone to make sure that you get high quality phones or at least you are sure that these cellular phones past quality checks. Cellular phones that came from our relatives working abroad often are network locked so you have to go to cellular phone shops to have it unlocked. These unlocked cell phones have high quality too if they are bought by the one who gave it to you from certified cellular phone dealers. Nevertheless, what matter is that the products we buy should come from certified dealers so we do not end up losing more just because we wanted to buy the cheaper ones.

Buying Computers TodayPosted by Vince in Fun and Entertainment, Modern technology, Personal, Shopping, computer, tags: Computers, Shopping
A lot of computers today are far better than those of the 90’s. It is obvious how computers of today outperform and outwit past computers. Computer evolution is fast as I have observed it in this century, New programs and softwares including hardware upgrades are rapidly changing and are introduced to the market making your brand new computers today, a computer of yesterday few weeks after or even days. That is how computer technology is advancing. Computer models depreciate easily because high tech computers are introduced in the computer industry sooner than before. Even computer memory has become more and more advanced to cope with the advances in modern computers. If you are ever planning to buy a computer or even a laptop, make sure to be well informed for that matter so that you will get the best deal for your money. Just google for computer and you are sure to step on a site that will give you an overview of a computer or laptop’s specs including its price. After that, you can select models with the best specs that fits your budget.

We should always make the best of our hard earned money. Of course, with the efforts and hard work we put to earning every single buck, getting what we want should always be worth it. A lot of products of the same kind flood the marketplace. These products only vary in price and in quality. While other items have slight price differences, quality might be of high discrepancy. It is always best to make a best buy from the money we have. Having the greatest deals for our efforts pays off when we know that we bought the best there is at a favorable price.

Find it cheaper somewhere elsePosted by Vince in Business, Credit cards, Financial Management, Shopping, tags: cheap products, Credit cards, Shopping
Products in the market today are sold in different prices. This is due to buy and sell transactions that are always profit driven. While there are those sellers who buy from larger firms, there are also those who directbuy at factories that manufacture the products. Once they sell these to the market, you are guaranteed that they are much cheaper than same products sold by different businessmen. It is always wise to compare prices of the same products. This way, you save more.

Purchasing StuffPosted by Vince in Credit cards, Financial Management, Shopping, tags: Credit cards, installments, Shopping
Let’s face it, we spend every day for our daily consumption. Food, fare, school supplies like pens and paper and a lot more. Every now and then we buy for weekly consumption goods and occasionally, we buy clothing. Of all the things we purchase, there are a lot of which we spend on more than we think. If we buy a whole pad paper, we spend less than buying them everyday in retail. Or for our cellphone load where we buy almost everyday for those who love to call or text. If we buy these stuff in bulk, we save more, thus we are utilizing our money effectively. It’s always better to spend if we can save. When purchasing, I don’t really recommend the using your credit cards. Why? Think of the interest rate you have pay in additional. If you cannot pay for your credit card bills in due time, this may result in bad credits, thus making it difficult for you to apply for a new one. If you can pay it in cash, then do so. i personally believe that credit card use in purchasing is good only when the product is for installment or for long term payment modes. Or, if payday is near. Then you can pay for the good without much of the interest rate. When using your credit card for installment plans, it is actually more convenient than having cash installments. This is because it is more convenient than to go to the firm monthly and pay. Normally, during paydays, those who own credit cards usually look at their credit card statement of accounts before anything else. So I recommend to use your cards on long term payments and when pay day is near. Happy spending guys.
