One of the hardest things to keep and the hardest thing to earn is trust. It is never easy to trust somebody specially to a person we don’t quite know. We trust somebody because we think we can open ourselves to that somebody. We assume that our secrets will be kept a secret. That all of the things we talked about will remain in the four corners of the room.

Unfortunately, we make mistakes in selecting who to trust and who to keep our doors closed to. We make wrong decisions in choosing those people we can trust and later on, we find ourselves betrayed. The problem does not end there. There are things that are better kept secret but the,  human as we are, we share them to people we trust.

Being trusted is a valuable responsibility and should be kept it that way. It is hard to earn the trust that was lost. It is never easy to lose the trust that was given to you. And this is one of the many consequences and the price to pay for betraying the trust.

Moral lesson: Do not give your trust to anybody unless you are quite sure it’s worth doing.

I’m not a love doctor or a relationship expert but I would just like to share what I learned based on my experience on how to keep a relationship alive. To start with, you need to know the person you love. You need to know your partner with all your heart. This would allow you to understand what is going on with you partner’s thoughts. After achieving a high level of understanding for you partner, you will then soon accept that person wholeheartedly and try to change some of his/her attitudes whenever you see it necessary. After knowing, understanding, and accepting that person, you have to establish your trust for that person. Jealousy is a major problem between lovers. It is the reason why most the lovers today are separated. Jealousy can be due to your love for the person of your lack of trust for the person. To eliminate jealousy is to give your full trust to that person. Loyalty can also be a major problem for lovers. The existence of third parties often destroy relationships. Time should also be given importance. The times you spend with your love allows you to know better the person and cultivate your love for him/her. Show your love to your partner by showing how much you cared for that individual.

Never do hasty generalizations and unjustified conclusions. Sometimes our emotions of hatred don’t get us anywhere. Often than not, it is our words that puts an end to a very happy relationship. Problems are sure to come in every relationships and these problems help strengthen the relationships you have or leads you to an end. How you deal with these problems determine the fate of your relationship.

These are some of the few things I learned about loving someone. I hope this would help those who need them. Don’t forget to love with all your heart.
